Religious Accommodation Letter

Dear Professor ,

On the following dates, I will be unable to attend lectures, recitations, take exams, or complete work: + add date .

These dates are religious holidays. I am unable to participate on these dates because it would violate my conscience and unlawfully interfere with the free exercise of my sincerely held religious beliefs.

If I will miss graded work as a result of this accommodation, please let me know when I can make it up, so I do not lose credit. If you determine any work is impossible to make up, such as an event, I would greatly appreciate you waiving any penalties in accordance with Brandeis policy.

Answers to most questions regarding Jewish religious holidays and restrictions can be found on Chabad.org (https://www.chabad.org/search). Though I would be happy to provide a letter from my personal rabbi, Peretz Chein, upon request.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
